A new BMS and an upgrade to an existing system start from different questions. For both, we first review equipment, measurement points, communications and operation.
We define which devices the system will monitor or control, which signals it needs and how users will review operation. The control-cabinet design, connections and control logic follow the approved scope.
ABOUT THE BMS SERVICE →We review existing controllers, meters, communications and documentation. We then determine which parts should be retained, connected or replaced and how to make the data accessible.
ABOUT DOM MONITORING →BMS and DOM serve different purposes. A BMS monitors or controls technical systems within an agreed scope. DOM collects and displays selected operational and energy data. The two can complement each other but are not automatically the same service.
In 2023, Primavest prepared detailed designs for the BMS control cabinet and boiler-room controls. For the original system it installed a powered control cabinet, PLC, signal modules, relays and an M-Bus interface. The system operates and has been accepted. The later fourth-floor upgrade is a separate project scope.
