Testing of less complex electrical installations

We carry out inspections, tests and measurements of low‑voltage electrical and lightning protection installations in residential buildings, houses and small commercial premises, in accordance with the technical guidelines TSG‑N‑002:2021 and TSG‑N‑003:2021.

MΩ TEST

Measurements and inspections are carried out in accordance with the guidelines TSG‑N‑002:2021 and TSG‑N‑003:2021 and applicable standards SIST HD 60364 and SIST EN 62305, for buildings that fall under less demanding categories in line with current building legislation (GZ‑1).

Low-voltage installations

  • Measurements of insulation resistance
  • Measurements of fault and short‑circuit loop impedance
  • Checking continuity of protective conductors
  • Testing operation of RCD protection devices
  • Visual inspection of the installation

Lightning protection system (LPS)

  • Measurements of earth resistance
  • Measurements of transition resistances of joints and connections
  • Visual inspection of the lightning protection system

Protection against over‑voltages

  • Potential Equalisation System Check
  • Inspection of Surge Protective Devices (SPD)
  • Compliance check with TSG-N-003
  • Official report on inspection and measurements

Each measurement point is checked with a calibrated instrument; the result is compared to the limit value from TSG-N-002/003:2021 and recorded in the measurement log.

Deadlines for periodic inspections

Less demanding low‑voltage installations – residential houses, flats, smaller commercial premises
every 16 years
Demanding low‑voltage installations – explosive hazardous areas, IT systems, PV > 41 kVA
every 8 years
Fire protection installation – LPL III and IV, less demanding buildings
every 4 years
Fire protection installation – LPL I and II, buildings of special importance
every 2 years
Explosive hazardous areas and critical systems
once a year

An extraordinary inspection is mandatory after any damage, restoration, repair or intervention on electrical installations, after connecting new equipment for production or storage of electricity, and following a direct lightning strike – regardless of the regular inspection interval.
